Sec’y Clinton: hatred displayed yesterday ‘deplorable’
June 11, 2009
Secretary Clinton was asked for her reaction to the horrific, hate-filled violence that took place yesterday at the Holocaust Memorial in downtown Washington:
“It’s a terrible tragedy,” Clinton told reporters at the State Department. “The kind of hatred that the killer evidenced over many years for different groups in our society is deplorable.”
The chief US diplomat added: “I hope all of America will stand united against that kind of terrible action on the part of anyone who harbors those feelings and attitudes.”
Amen.
