Wow. That’s all I can say
I wonder when she will return to work?
Thank you for these updates- I don’t see any other blogs which are this up to date about everything the Secretary is doing. I also like that you include foreign policy information in your updates because it’s a good background to put it all in perspective.
I hope this means she’ll be able to enjoy what they’re calling the nicest week of the whole summer. She deserves a little sun and surf.
I miss my Hillary. *sniffles*
prosecutrix- nice avatar! (finally, someone is using an avatar!
)
And yes, it is supposed to be a beautiful week weather-wise so hopefully she gets to enjoy it, as much as I miss covering what she’s up to at State.
Hi, Stacy. This is actually Karen (ladyinblue). I had already registered with WordPress under this user name, so I decided to upload a picture for my avatar and start going by this user name. Anyway, thanks for the compliment.
So she’s going to be gone for this week, too? It’s terrible not being able to see new pictures of her on a regular basis, but I hope she enjoys her long vacation. If she’s getting bored on her break, I’d be happy to meet her for lunch!
I think she is in Washington. Meetings at the White House. I could be all wet, but I think there is alot going on and she is to important not to be in the mix. JMO
I don’t know when her vacation ends but wherever she is, she’s still probably working in some capacity or another and yes, she could actually be in Washington. These days, with video conferencing and the like, she could still be in on meetings without being at the State Dept. I’ll be interested to see if the State Dept spokesman says anything about when she is coming back, during the daily press briefing.
And “hi” Karen! I thought I recognized that user name!
While Hillary news is light, any thoughts about who Deval will appoint to fill Ted kennedy’s spot/
Maggie,
Breaking news…….At 3:00PM EST the Gov. will have a news briefing on the replacement of Sen. Kennedy in the Senate. Rumors are that it might be Vicky his wife.
Here’s a link to what was discussed in Deval Patrick’s press briefing- essentially they are still trying to see if the legislature will move on a bill to allow him to name an interim Senator although that sounds a bit like political suicide to me.

Stacy, Do you hear or read in the news up in Boston if the voters want her. Maybe the talk radio show migh shed some light on Vicky.
pcfs- I haven’t heard too much yet one way or another, but I assume over the next couple of days we’ll start to hear more about exactly who people want to see fill his seat. Of course, Gov. Patrick may not be able to select an interim successor, which is what most of the news around here is about today.
Hillary is going to have a heck of a time distancing herself from BO’s foreign policy if she runs again in the future. She’d have done better to refuse his lame offer of secretary of state and spend her time planning for 2012 or 2016, like Sarah Palin is doing. Maybe Hillary and Sarah could join forces to defeat that unamerican imposter BO, in 2012.
palin2012- with all due respect, what are you smoking and where can we get some?
I think there is about as much of a chance of Hillary and Palin teaming up on a ticket, as there is of me discovering and containing anti-matter by tomorrow morning.
Hillary and palin will join forces as soon as cheney and obama go hunting together.
Hillary does not quit and she has the highest approval rating of anyone in the administration. Forgein policy is the only part of the administration getting any positive remarks and guess who is in charge of forgein policy.
Hillary 2009,2010,2011,2012 and every year after that. Hillary forever.
Jill- I second that!
Palin2012- don’t waste your time here, they are all Obots here
pcfs- I just saw this- Vicki Kennedy says she is not interested in the vacated Senate seat:

Thanks Stacy for the info on Vicki.
