    Thank for the heads up!

Stacy, I know you must have seen the stuff about the WH and State Dept blocking the Gaza report? I know you wrote about the report the other day and judging from what you said, I have a feeling you’re not overly thrilled. I think this decision may come back to bite us in the ass not to far down the road- just my opinion

Steve- you judged correctly. And I agree, blocking the report, which alleged crimes on the part of BOTH Israel and Hamas, will just undermine peace efforts- combine that with rumors that we are going to back-peddle on the settlements issue and we’ve played right into the hands of some right-wing Muslim nations who say the US can’t be at all objective when it comes to mediating mid-east peace.

Sounds like Obama wants her to take the lead next week in intense negotiations in Washington. Perhaps the report was creating a deadlock. How is this going to effect her proposed trip to Israel in October? I would like to see a couple of major foreign policy breakthroughs in the next month. We need some good news with all that is going on in Afghanistan. I’ve watched a couple of the webcasts of the CGI. They are wonderful. If Hillary doesn’t choose to run after this administration there is definitely a place for her to shine there.
