stacy – I heard Pat Buchanan on the McLaughlin Group mention that Hillary’s plan to join a global effort to send billions in “eco-aid” to developing countries in exchange for pledges on controlling carbon emissions would be met with stiff resistance in Congress. Did she announce this? I didn’t see it covered here or elsewhere.
Are you referring to the package she announced prior to Obama’s arrival in Copenhagen:

If that’ s now what you are referring to then I don’t know.
I posted a couple things about Copenhagen and how her announcement of billions in aid was met with a lot of support by developing nations but unfortunately, after the POTUS arrived, the major industrialized nations couldn’t seem to agree and things seemed to kind of fall apart. I think the deal for the funding is still on the table but my guess is it WILL be hard to get Congress to sign on.
Thanks stacy – you did cover it, of course — I just missed it!
Happy holidays to you & yours, including that adorable cat.
Thanks Carolyn- Happy Holidays to you too!
Everyone have a safe and happy holiday!
Merry Christmas Stacy and everyone. Thanks you for all you do. I hope all will have a wonderful holiday.
Madame Secretary,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
I remember her announcing that at the conference although it didn’t get huge amounts of coverage in the US media. I think I read about it here first and then saw that there was more coverage in the international press.
