Updates & Stuff

February 12, 2010

I don’t have a schedule for Secretary Clinton today and I assume she will be spending the day with her husband as he recovers from his medical procedures yesterday. As of now her travel to the Mid East has been postponed for one day she will likely leave for Qatar tomorrow. If she does, I will try to provide frequent updates on her trip.

Over the weekend I will have some extra time to do a bit more blogging and if there is something in particular that you would like to see more of [on this site] on a regular basis, feel free to drop me a line in the comment section here or you can even contact me directly via the “contact” tab on this front page. Some have expressed an interest in more polls so I will work on that this weekend but if there is anything else, as I said, let me know.

UPDATE: See, it’s all good- he’s out of the hospital already.

Here are two photos from yesterday. Hopefully former Pres. Clinton and Secy Clinton can both can get some rest (and some privacy) today:

Aww. I want to give her a huge hug right now. Maybe it’s just the angle of the picture, but she looks upset and tired. My poor Hillary. :(

well, she looks like she has been crying. Just imagine the situation. Bill probably called and was like: I’m at the hospital, I’ll have surgery, don’t worry it will be alright.
She had to fly to NY alone, always worried about his condition. Poor Hillary. I want to hug her too.

After I saw that picture I really wanted to hop on a plane, fly over the atlantic and give her a long hug, she looks so sad and worried.
It does seem as if she has been crying. I just hope that everything is going to be alright again before she leaves (otherwise she will be worried all the time)

Glad to hear Big Dawg is doing well. It sounds like he did the right thing in going in and having the stents rather than waiting until something happened. If he continues to do well I am sure the Secretary will be on her way to Qatar.

I look forward to your weekend coverage Stacy, as always!

ps. and yes, another poll please!

So Bill’s in the hospital, you’d think he’d nearly died the way people are acting. Lighten up, you all sound like fools.

thank you for the updates; I hope that Hillary is doing great;may be she looks like that because she was travelingfromNew York, and as we have seen her before, she doesn’t care much about looking glamorous ever, she knows she’s beautiful and doesn’t care too much about the exterior. We love you Hillary!

Dear god, looking like that it’s a wonder she wasn’t admitted! She doesn’t look well. I had thought she might give herself more than just one day to handle this, but hey, what do I know?

I am glad things are going well for the former president and hope he is fully recovered soon.

Well, he’s home now and hopefully the family can spend some time together, privately. And hopefully the media will leave them alone for a while. The press always walks a fine line between providing news and violating someone’s privacy and often they cross that line. I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to post these pictures but since they were already out there, I did. But I’ll be honest, I wasn’t quite sure if it was appropriate under the circumstances.

Well stacy you have more sense than most because some of the coverage has been over the top but you always show restraint when it comes to Hillary’s personal and family life- I remember when you didn’t want to cover their short vacation in Bermuda on this blog because it was clear they wanted privacy- and I think you are right- their privacy should be respected for personal stuff like this.

Steve, it’s always hard to draw the line but it’s pretty obvious when the Clinton’s want some privacy- that trip you refer to is a good example- the State Dept. made a point of trying to keep their whereabouts secret probably not just for security reasons but also because they seemed to want some privacy. That’s why I decided to not post the few photos that eventually trickled out. In this case (the hospital) there was such a media frenzy that photos and video were everywhere, which is why I finally figured that it was ok to post the two photos above. That said, I’m still not totally comfortable with it- I can imagine if I was in her position I wouldn’t want the press following me around and snapping photos at a vulnerable time.

I do agree that some of the coverage has been over the top and I finally signed off twitter the other night because it was getting ridiculous. I like Twitter- it can be a great source of info. but it can also be a great source of useless gossip ;)
