This is nothing but a Obot site. How can you even post that ridiculous picture?

the photo shows how much Hillary cares for those americans who weren’t insured before that reform, it shows that she doesn’t care who ges the credit for a reform that she tried to get done, as long as no more Americans – no more children – die just because they can’t afford treatment. It shows that she is just happy and relieved that something so important is finally achieved…and maybe we should be happy too…

Right, it’s all Obama all the time here, and we have nothing but good things to say about him….

What’s ridiculous about it? The fact that the Secretary of State – someone who worked hard trying to get healthcare reform passed – is happy when it finally does? Is it the idea that those within the administration have amicable working relationships? Or is it her smiling face and arms stretched out for a hug that bother you? Some people are more apt to hug than others – maybe she’s one of them? Whatever the reason, I think her hugging the president is far more professional than, let’s say, pouting in a corner because it isn’t her name on the bill. I don’t know about you, but I am seeing Hillary Rodham Clinton as a better, more personable, possibly even more genuine person as her tenure as Secretary of State goes on. (I never doubted the big things like capability or intelligence or whether she was qualified.) Assuming I’m not alone here, that can’t hurt her no matter what her future plans are.

BTW, theprosecutrix, LOL, just LOL. :D

I am glad that Hillary and Obama have a good working relationship. Her talent and heart are too great to waste … as she said, in one of her recent interviews, the one human quality she admires most is “forgiveness”, and the one she most loathes is “meanness”. She is a great icon show puts her words into practice!

    Thanks for the picture.

I beg to disagree about mixing Confluence with the rest of pseudo-Hillary supporters who turned in a New York minute into Palin-loving conservatives. Perhaps except for a few commenters, the bloggers of Confluence are among the critically minded, non-Hillary worshippers (they’re not bots) but Hillary supporters who look at the big picture and make their assessment based on their understanding of political realities. I refer you to this: http://riverdaughter.wordpress.com/2010/03/24/but-hillary-said/#comments

Finally, anyone who knows Hillary’s record as first lady — when she fought for healthcare and failed — and the subsequent evolution of her approach to the issue (with her 2008 plan) — will understand her public support for it (whether it is unconditional or not is something we will never know): She was criticized in ’93-’94 for refusing to accommodate the compromises that the Democrats and Republicans wanted precisely because these did not go far enough, and it was often leaked about how she would “go after” Bill every time it was reported that her husband was caving in on the demands of key legislators. Maybe all the lessons of the past plus her own experience as Senator, and that in her heart she surely believes that the status quo (almost 50 million uninsured Americans) would only get worse, and the Republicans are not any better on the issue, explains her position on the issue (not to mention that she’s a loyal Democrat).

Thank you for the picture Stacyx; this is not an Obot site (the only thing I like about BO is “his” SOS).I think Hillary would have done 100% better crossing party lines that BO didn’t, but Hillary is happy that her fight and dream of her lifetime is “almost” a reality; I’m happy x the americans who will benefit from it, and for Hillary who paved the road!Bless you Hillary!

    Great photo!
In June 2008, I deregistered from the Democratic party, reregistered as an Independent, and (gulp, embarassed to admit this) donated to McCain/Palin, though at the last moment simply could not bring myself to pull the lever for the Repubs, and abstained. I didn’t start warming up to Obama until he named Hillary as SOS, abd spent much of this past year tearing my hair out over his (and the Democrats) inaction and wasted opportunities. But now that he has finally “found his voice” (to borrow Hillary’s phrase from Jan 2008), I find myself cheering him on. Let’s face it — if Hillary were Prez, her agenda would look pretty similar, so an Obama win is a win for her cherished principles.
Having said that, in her shoes, I might have been tempted to use the photo op as an occasion to deliver a sharp knee to the groin, just to say we’ll never, ever forget 2008. Forgive, maybe, but never forget.

If Hillary doesn’t run again and if the Dems don’t find their spine, I’m going to have a hard time voting for them. Granted, being the lib I am I can’t vote Republican, particularly given the tea party folks have largely taken over. So, I’m not sure where that leaves me other than the Green Party or Independent but I don’t know. I’ve always voted Dem but something’s gotta change.

The fact that the Dems control the WH and both houses of Congress and yet still run scared every time the Repubs say “Boo!” isn’t reassuring. I’m not exactly sure what Obama’s problem is – I don’t know if he has a problem with controlling the message or if he always waits until its too late to really start selling his idea or if his dream of bipartisanship is a naive pipe-dream- what he did in the last two weeks with health reform he should have been doing since day one. I’m not sure why he never really advocated for a public option or why he’s afraid to close Gitmo or why he won’t reign in Wall Street, given that is what he campaigned on in the general election- most people seemed to want those things but as soon as the GOP yells that he’s pro-terrorist’s rights, he caves. I don’t get it. He’s back tracking now on trying KSM in federal court in NYC despite the fact that Bush tried a bunch of terrorists there as well. He caved with Israel- TWICE, he caved on Honduras, he caved on Gitmo, he caved on the public option, etc. Does Obama realize that by caving so quickly he looks wishy-washy and unprincipled?

      HRC4Ever-
Stacy isn’t shy about saying when she disagrees with this administration about something but in case you hadn’t noticed, this is a blog devoted to HRC and foreign policy, not a blog devoted to tearing down Obama with the latest crack-pot conspiracy theory. So, if you are looking for stories about how Obama is an evil, Israel-hating, Kenya-born, birth-certificate- hiding, cocaine-snorting Muslim socialist, I suggest you go over to Orly Taitz website:

      http://www.orlytaitzesq.com/

In fact, you can sign up to join one of her many lawsuits which waste lots of taxpayers money as states attorneys and judges have to spend time smacking down that nonsense. Apparently the right doesn’t mind frivolous, harassing lawsuits when they are filed by one of their own. Now she’s suing to stop health care reform from becoming the law of the land.

I think you’ll be happy there- Orly uses the word “Obot” a lot too.

I think by “criticize” the person means blaming him for everything in as derogatory a manner as possible. Given I don’t use the word “socialist” or “Bambi” or “pro-terrorist” to describe him I don’t think my criticisms pass muster ;) .

Hillary Clinton lied to New Yorkers when she said she would forever support Israel’s right to exist with an undivided Jerusalem as it’s capital. She is now an enemy of all Jews:

    http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1159441.html

So was she lying then or is she lying now?

If she ever runs for President again Jews will not be fooled this time around

Hey, Zionist, give it a rest will ‘ya? Who elected you to speak for all us Jews in the U.S.? Not me. People like you are an embarrassment to world Jewry. Do you even know who Theodor Herzl is? It sounds like you are not a Zionist but an extreme nationalist- very different. You right wing nutters have ruined the word “Zionist” and you are driving Israel full-speed off a cliff, which is hardly very Zionist of you.

And if you hadn’t noticed, this is a post about a PHOTO of Hillary, not about Israel, thus you are waaaay off topic- go find one of Stacy’s many posts about Israel or Palestine. Actually, I take that back. Don’t, please.

Some just do not get the relationship of Obama and Hillary. It is called “Working together for change” The Sec. of State is working her heart out for this country and for womens rights all around the world. That said, I feel that as I have followed HRC this year as Sec. of State. I see that Obama lets her do her job, her way and that is a great insperation to me. To think that the President has that much faith in her and trust to be the top diplomat of this country. The Foreign Relations of this administration has HRC written all over it and that is a good thing.
Diplomacy is hard work. God Bless Madame Secretary and all her travels around the globe.
