I’m a bit confused. I thought Abbas and Netanyahu came in Wednesday and that they wouldn’t be at the State Dept. until Thursday. Oh well.

Maybe they came early due to hurricane Earl. That said, I can imagine that there is going to be changes in some of the weeks events. I know we all wish her well and of course she is in our prayers. God Speed Madame Secretary.
I love how some people are putting this all on Secy Clinton’s shoulders- as though if talks break through it’s because of her negotiating skills. That’s BS. If talks go nowhere it’s because the parties (Israel, Palestinians) are unwilling to compromise for political reasons.
One thing is clear- Bibi is no peacemaker. He’s too worried he’ll upset his anti-Arab 100 year-old father who’s still alive and telling him to make NO concessions to the Palestinians. Talk about Freudian.
Bibi always looks so angry. I think the guy honestly wouldn’t know what to do if Israel didn’t have enemies-it’s like he thrives on fear and blaming everyone else for every little thing.
Uh, I meant to say “if talks break down”, not “through.” Sorry.
