Hey, is that the suit she wore at the convention?
Yes. It’s the one and only DNC tangerine.
I know some might not agree, but I think her hair looks cute in a ponytail.
Hey Marcus, if you don’t mind my asking, what do you do in Afghanistan?
I don’t mind your asking. I do CSAR- combat search and rescue and I have pilot and combat medic training.
Whoa. That sounds hard-core. Stay safe, if that’s possible.
A silly but nontheless telling example of the hubris Secretary Clinton is facing in the Middle East:

I know you hate Chris Matthews but today he gave big kuddos to Secy Clinton and George Mitchell at the Mid East talks:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036697/#39221019
Chris Matthews now: “Fortunately for us, [the Middle East peace talks] could not be in better hands than Hillary Clinton’s and George Mitchell’s.”
Chris Matthews in January 2008: “The reason [Hillary's] a U.S. senator, the reason she’s a candidate for president, the reason she may be a front-runner is her husband messed around. That’s how she got to be senator from New York. We keep forgetting it. She didn’t win there on her merit.”
Oh, we won’t forget, Chris, even if you seem to.
On the one hand it’s nice to see Hillary Clinton getting the respect she deserves regarding her hard work at State. That said, I really don’t trust most in the media. Perhaps I am paranoid. Perhaps I am just tired of some of them seeming to like her so long as she’s not in the Oval Office. I don’t know, maybe Mathews has really had a change of heart but his previous statements were so over the top and so numerous it’s hard to know what his motives are. I remember one show during the primaries when he used the word “socialist” repeatedly in connection with her. Socialist? I have no respect for media types who throw around such labels knowing damn well the labels don’t apply but they are just trying to make headlines and be provocative.
The one person I will admit to having a soft spot for is for Rachel Maddow because she told the story about how she cried when she heard Hillary’s Iraq vote and because she called out the boys in the media for being sexists with respect to Hillary. I think she was way too easy on Obama, as most were, but as someone who also was crushed when I heard the war authorization roll call, I can sort of relate. I also think she’s a damn good commentator even if I don’t always agree with her.
I like her, too, even if she was all smiles with the odious Keith Olbermann in ’08. Guess she wasn’t in a position to call HIM out, at that point.
Olbermann is so arrogant. I heard a while back he had some sort of hissy fit about the network giving Rachel some interview or something that he felt HE should have had.
OT- I just saw on the news the tea party women candidates like that yahoo in delaware want the vote of “Hillary Clinton Democrats?!? WTF?
Not me, man.
I agree Thain but a lot of Hillary supporters were so pissed off after the primaries that they jumped ship and voted for the GOP. Some of them became Palin’s biggest fans, which I didn’t really understand given Hillary’s views are nothing like Palin’s views- Palin is anti-choice, anti-gay, anti-consumer protection and seems to have a bit of a problem telling the truth. All her rhetoric during the campaign about the Road to Nowhere and the things she had done in Alaska turned out to be less than honest. She also is the anti-Hillary when it comes to her knowledge of the issues. Hillary Clinton is a workhorse. Palin is proud of not knowing anything about how the federal government works or about foreign policy- all she does is spew right wing talking points. They are like night and day.
How can anyone vote for Christine O’Donnell? She’s anti-masturbation!?! She says it’s “adultery!”
