I’m amazed that he has been invited to speak before Congress for the sole purpose of undermining the President of the United States’ foreign policy. That is the very definition of treason. People can disagree about foreign policy but it used to be that politicians would not tolerate foreign leaders criticizing the POTUS on our home soil. Nor would politicians of any party go to a foreign country and criticize the POTUS out of respect for the office. Those days are over as AIPAC controls our foreign policy for the Mideast and parts of Asia.
What’s really stunning is how Congressional Democrats are rushing to toss this admin. under the bus- talk about disloyalty.
I believe Stacy has said this a couple of times here but since it’s now obvious that Congress doesn’t support two states other than in name only, what is it they DO stand for? They say the status quo isn’t sustainable but then they do everything to sustain it. They oppose dividing Jerusalem. They oppose ending settlements despite that being US policy. They oppose 1967 lines and they oppose any attempt to put any pressure on Israel. So what do they stand for? I have a theory that they won’t say what they stand for because they would be revealed as extremists on this issue.
Remember, most Americans want two states and understand there will have to be compromises. The problem is that there can be no backlash against Bibi or against the extremist position of Congress if the media continues to cover for Israel and Congress on this issue. How many times have you seen David Gregory or Wolf Blitzer or Candy Crowley or Bob Schieffer or any other Sunday host really press a member of Congress about their inconsistencies? NEVER. You never will, either.
