Hey you! Hope you had a restful Labor Day.
Just saw this story and thought you’d be interested. I can’t play the tape of interview, but what’s Cheney up to, anyway?

Hello!
While it’s always nice to hear people give Hillary her due, I don’t like or trust Dick Cheney on anything- he is self-serving. I also happen to believe he should be behind bars. I also question why he said what he did? Why now? He suddenly has a new-found respect for her? Did he have that respect in 2008 and just not say anything.
I also can’t help but think that the last thing in the world Hillary Clinton wants is an endorsement from Dick Cheney. But that’s just my guess.
I agree. It’s nice people compliment her but Dick Cheney is a jerk. Stacy asks a good question- why now? It seems he is more interested in being divisive than in really giving Hillary her due. She has been very critical of Dick Cheney and rightly so. If he hadn’t been the VP of the United States he might have been held accountable for all the lies, the outing of Valerie Plame, torture etc. Instead he’s doing a book tour.
I think Dick Cheney’s comment is just another way of degrading Obama rather than an authentic compliment for Hillary, even though I too always perk up when Hillary gets her due. I would not trust anything can be possibly honorable from Cheney’s mouth.
Just want to thank Stacy for your tireless blog.
Agreed, he’s dissing Obama, but I also agree with Cheney that Hillary is one of the most competent — if not the most competent – member of Obama’s administration and that she would have worked more effecrtively with the Repulican opposition.
Yeah. The problem for me is that it is Dick Cheney and I don’t trust him.
