Can someone inform me about the timeline for the Presidential elections 2012? When in normal course would the President announce a decision to run again, and when would other Democratic candidates do so? When would the Secretary have to resign if she decides to run? I assume that she would have to resign some time in advance of declaring, in order to assess reaction to the possibility of her doing so. A resignation might therefore be quite some time in advance of other candidates and the President declaring.
