Great secretary of state- an American is killed by Israel one day, the next day another American is shot in the face, loses her eyes and all AIPAC’s poodle, Hillary Clinton, can do is urge Israel, the people who shot up the Americans, to investigate themselves. Kind of like she did with china after they got caught hacking human rights info. from google accounts.

Gee, Hillary, how is that Chinese investigation into their own wrongdoing going?

If Hillary is such the big-time, wonderful women’s rights activist, why does she only stand up for women when it’s politically expedient to do so?

I can’t WAIT for Israel’s investigation since they are giving the murdering commandos special accommodations for valor. So I am sure they’ll REALLY be objective.

Not that anyone gives a shit, right? I mean I guess pro-Palestinian folks don’t give enough money in elections in NY. Pity, if they did maybe Palestinians would have some more rights.

Well, I called my members of Congress about this- I said there needs to be an international investigation- they politely told me “not on your life”. Of course, I live in NY and my representatives are a bunch of Likudniks who think they work in the Knesset.

I don’t agree with your take on this Cairns, other than to say that it’s ridiculous to let Israel investigate themselves when they’ve tampered with evidence and are practically bragging that they killed those people. And some of the activists are still missing. US doesn’t seem to give a damn.

I’m so sick of the U.S. covering up for Israel because all it does is encourage Israel to act even more brutal and outrageous the next time around.

But, whatever, we’ve been through this a thousand times and there is no way in the world Secretary Clinton will condemn Israel because Israel isn’t Iran and Israel apparently calls the shots.

Funny, when my wife and I left Israel I thought I had, well, left Israel. Apparently not. The leaders here have Israel Derangement Syndrome- their backbones turn to mush and all they can do is sputter “Israel has a right to defend itself” over and over again like they’ve been brainwashed.

Wake up people. The US doesn’t give a shit about the Palestinians and never has. Why are you so shocked all of a sudden? Israel has been killing Palestinian farmers, imprisoning kids and essentially making life hell for them for one reason- no not security, which Israel pretty much has under control. It’s to punish the Palestinians for electing Hamas. And killing and imprisoning pro-palestinian peace protesters is also punishment for questioning Israel.

How many American teenagers and young adults have to be murdered by Israel before the U.S. wakes the fuck up? The answer is – it doesn’t matter how many. They ALL asked for it because Israel can do no wrong.

Great country- the US doesn’t even support its own murdered citizens.

I’ve given up on the administration in terms of human rights- whether it’s china, Sudan, Honduras, Colombia or the refusal to allow any nation or group to try to apply some consistent standard of justice or compliance with international law with respect to Israel. We seem to spend a significant portion of our time at the UN preventing Israel from being criticized for anything, ever. I think I’m beginning to understand why we rejoined the human rights council- to protect Israel.

For those who are interested, the Israeli human rights group Gisha got hold of an Israeli document with the help of the UN which demonstrates what we already know- the blockade of Gaza isn’t about security or protection- it’s collective punishment meant to strangle the Palestinians economically (and quite literally):

    http://www.mcclatchydc.com/2010/06/09/95621/israeli-document-gaza-blockade.html

Chuck Schumer also just gave one of the most hideous speeches at some Orthodox group gathering where he played Israeli apologist and tried to claim that the Palestinians don’t want a two state solution and he makes no distinction between Hamas and Fatah. He also tried to deal with the above document about the blockade by arguing that economic warfare is perfectly fine- of course he leaves out the inconvenient fact that Israel has certain international obligations as an occupying force but of course, when it comes to Israel, facts aren’t exactly the order of the day.

It’s really great that key democrats are so intent on undermining the peace process as promoted by their democratic president and Secretary of State. Really.

Tzipi Livni has filed a no-confidence vote in the knesset and she’s leading in the polls right now. With her at the helm we might actually get a shot at a real peace process, not this fake one we’re seeing now.

Yeah, I’ve been following that. She’s no dove but she at least understands that Bibi and his far, far right coalition are currently setting a disastrous course for Israel and its long term security.

If only Chuck Schumer understood that rather than painting everyone who disagrees with Israel’s far right wing policies as anti-Israel.
