        It was! My furry kids LOVE to sleep on towels…and yes, I frequently wash the towels and they can’t wait for them to come out of the dryer, nice and hot. So, I get it.😉

    Here is a photograph Hillary doesn’t want you to see….

    http://palsolidarity.org/2010/05/12604/

    You know what this blog is missing??? A chronicle of Clinton “accomplishments” as Secretary Of State, particularly in regards to foreign policy. Perhaps Stacy will gift us with such a listing, eh??? Or not. It might be kinda hard to compile such a list, seeing as how there ARE NO “accomplishments” to list, (unless one is compiling a wish list for former Bush Administration war hawks).

    But in the meantime, she might wanna scurry on over to Taylor Marsh’s site and issue a retraction of her posting that Saudi Arabia is going to allow Israeli overflights on an attack on Iran. The Saudi’s have issued a denial of this obviuous Hasbara propaganda, but I’m sure Israel and Hillary appreciate Stacy’s contribution to their campaign of misinformation and saber rattling.

  3. June 13, 2010 3:50 pm

    BTW, I see Marsh is getting all blurry eyed over Neda again.

    A real shame she shows such compassion for Iranian protestors that are struck down without any actual evidence as to WHO fired the shot. Yet she gives nary a mention to Tristan Anderson or Emily Henochowicz, AMERICANS brutally targeted by IDF jackboots while ingaged in peaceful protest. I wonder, will Stacy have the moral fortitude to take Taylor to task for such callous oversight, or is she content to see concern for the RIGHTS AND WELFARE of peaceful protesters confined to the realm of political opportunism? Clinton would be proud of Taylor for taking political advantage of Neda’s death, while IGNORING the welfare of AMERICAN CITIZENS targeted and maimed by a foreign government.

    Perhaps if Clinton was being ACCURATELY represented on this blog I might present my comments with a different “tone”. But I have no use, or patience, for propaganda or partisan favoritism that seeks to obscure or bury the truth.

    In responding to my comments on Clinton, Stacy, and the adoring Clinton fans here at this site, have provided a remarkably shallow defense of Hillary’s performance as Secretary Of State, choosing instead to place blame for her performance as Secretary Of State in Obama’s lap, and taking me to task for not criticizing the President, on a blog devoted to the Secretary Of State.

    Stacy laments the sanctions, with nary of mention of Hillary’s bizarre brand of diplomacy towards Iran that from the onset consisted of “Yeah, I’ll engage with Iran, but it won’t do any good, and eventually we will have to impose more stringent sanctions”. Further, she has adopted the same exact non-starter rhetoric towards Syria.

    I note that the “personal tone” of my posts seem to be the issue here, yet my suggestion that a list of Hillary’s foreign policy “accomplishments” is ignored. Perhaps, since Stacy is rue to provide such a list, the adoring geniuses here that are so lavish with their praise of sacharin visual effects will gift us with such a list. I really am curious what such a list would look consist of:

    Pushback against Israel’s intransigence in regards to the settlements? What pushback?

    Diplomacy designed to head off events such as this latest Israeli massacre and crime on the highs seas??? Such as her public statement calling the Goldstone Report “seriously flawed”?

    Her success at “cooling down” the prospects for war with Iran? By repeating, by rote, Neocon/rightwing/zionist talking points and propaganda in regards to Iran’s alleged “nuclear weapons program” by not mentioning Iran’s COMPLIANCE with the NPT, while refusing to recognize Israel’s ACTUAL possession of nuclear weapons?

    Or perhaps you will bring up her obvious concern for the rights of peaceful protesters by politicizing Neda’s death at the hands of an UNKOWN assailant, while IGNORING Israel’s attacks on AMERICAN CITIZENS engaged in peaceful protest against Israeli attrocites and practices that are recognized internationally as ILLEGAL.

    Yes, it will be quite enlightening seeing a list of Hillary’s accomplishments. Should I hold my breath???

    Fat chance.

      Ahmadinejab! What an honor that a monomaniacal psychotic of your stature would grace our humble, if misguided, blog! Forgive us for our blind allegiance to our head of State (the Department of State, that is) that brooks no criticism, tolerates no dissent, and simply dismisses any inconvenient truths that would tarnish the image of our beloved head of State. But of course, we’re all just a bunch of lesbians, what would you expect. Oh wait, no homosexuals in your country.

      • June 13, 2010 10:47 pm

        Do you think that such asinine stupidity, exhibited so succinctly in your comment, is a credit to Stacy’s blog?

    Here are the ACTUAL duties of the Secretary Of State, spelled simly enough that even schoolkids, (or Clinton fans), can understand it;

    Duties of the Secretary

    Under the Constitution, the President of the United States determines U.S. foreign policy. The Secretary of State, appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Senate, is the President’s chief foreign affairs adviser. The Secretary carries out the President’s policies through the Department of State and the Foreign Service of the United States. Created in 1789 by the Congress as the successor to the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of State is the senior executive Department of the U.S. Government. The Secretary of State’s duties relating to foreign affairs have not changed significantly since then, but they have become far more complex as international commitments multiplied. These duties–the activities and responsibilities of the Department of State–include the following:

    1) Serves as the President’s principal adviser on U.S. foreign policy;

    2) Conducts negotiations relating to U.S. foreign affairs;

    3) Grants and issues passports to American citizens and letters of recognition to foreign consuls in the United States;

    4) Advises the President on the appointment of U.S. ambassadors, ministers, consuls, and other diplomatic representatives;

    5) Advises the President regarding the acceptance, recall, and dismissal of the representatives of foreign governments;

    6) Personally participates in or directs American representatives to international conferences, organizations, and agencies;

    7) Negotiates, interprets, and terminates treaties and agreements;

    8) Assures the protection of the U.S. Government to American citizens, property, and interests in foreign states;

    9)Supervises the administration of U.S. immigration laws abroad;

    10) Provides information to American citizens regarding the political, economic, social, cultural, and humanitarian conditions in foreign countries;

    11) Informs the Congress and the American citizenry on the conduct of U.S. foreign relations;

    12)Promotes beneficial economic intercourse between the United States and other countries;

    13) Administers the Department of State;

    14) Supervises the Foreign Service of the United States.

    http://future.state.gov/who/secretary/44496.htm

    Now, perhaps someone here can give us a blow by blow assessment of Hillary’s performance of her duties thus far.

    note….

    8) ASSURE THE PROTECTION OF THE U.S.GOVERNMENT TO AMERICAN CITIZENS, PROPERTY, AND INTERESTS IN FOREIGN STATES.

    So, shall we ask Tristan or Emily how she’s doing? Or the owners of the AMERICAN FLAGGED vessel that participated in the flottilla?

  10. June 13, 2010 7:27 pm

    Hmmm. You’d think at least one of these Hillary admirers could invent a success or two on Clinton’s behalf.

    Oh well.

      Here is one accomplishment that I thought of off of the top of my head.
      http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=8796910

      I suppose there will be new information on this work in progress this week, as she is set to testify before the Senate Armed Services committee about the treaty.
      http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/5706034.cms

      Think what you want about them, but she wanted the sanctions, she pressed for them, and she got them.
      http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=10862653

      She is set to release this year’s version of the Trafficking in Persons report tomorrow. It’s not exactly a success or an accomplishment, but it shows that she’s doing her job (to me this fits with #10 on your list) and I get the impression that your hatred of her has led you to believe that she is incompetent at her job.
      http://www.state.gov/secretary/rm/2009a/06/124872.htm

      Here you go. You wanted successes, so here are some. They are more than one or two, and they are not fictional. I could find more, but I have better things to do with my time than sit at the computer all night.

      • June 13, 2010 10:45 pm

        Thank you for your response. Its interesting seeing you tout this Armenia/Turkey pact as a “success” prior to ratification. But I will concede, on Hillary’s behalf, that she seems to be working hard on this, and may actually enjoy a “success” on this issue. Of note is the fact that Israel, since its estrangement from Turkey, seems to have completely reversed its position on the issue of Armenian genocide. Cute, that.

        But I am a bit curious. As you tout this as a “success”, can you clarify for us exactly what the dividend is in regards to this benefitting the American public, whom she actually is tasked to serve?

        And yes, she has enjoyed “success” in getting sanctions imposed against the Iranians. Perhaps she can enjoy the same degree of “success” that the Iraqi sanctions returned, with over 500,000 infant deaths as a direct result of the sanctions. Funny how lies and propaganda still serve to convince the American public that we need to fear a non-existent boogie man. But, you’re right. Its success, one that would fullfill Dick Cheney’s wildest wet dream. Oh boy, we can starve them nasty Iranian ragheads and Neda killers, by God. That’ll teach em!

        And I don’t “hate” Hillary, although I find her performance despicable, particularly as it applies to her hypocritical and feigned concern for human rights.

        When she gets us into a war with Iran, with all its horrifying possibilities of global escalation, will you be so cavalier in your dismissal of my concerns?

  12. June 13, 2010 11:04 pm

    And the result of Hillary’s “success” in getting Iran sanctions???

    From the Thursday online issue of “Foreign Policy Magazine”.

    “In the aftermath of UN sanctions vote, Iran warns of “reduced” cooperation”

    “A day after the United Nations Security Council passed a fourth round of sanctions on Iran for its illicit nuclear program, Iranian officials warned that the country would reduce its cooperation with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors. 12 of the 15 countries sitting on the Security Council voted in favor of the resolution on Wednesday. Only two countries, Brazil and Turkey, opposed the resolution, while Lebanon abstained. Iran’s government-run station, Press TV, quoted the head of parliament’s national security and foreign policy committee, saying that parliamentarians would meet Sunday to “push for legislation to reduce” Iran’s ties to the IAEA. He offered no further details on the likely Iranian response”

    continues…..

    So, Iran has finally figured out that NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO, Hillary’s policy inertia will seek to further demonize, misrepresent, and antagonize Iran . Why should they adhere to the terms of the NPT if their adherence goes unrecognized, the treaty being SPAT upon by Hillary’s “diplomacy”? So yes, Halliary has “succeeded” in pushing Iran into the position of REDUCED transparency aboput their nuclear aims and accomplishments. One can only assume that THATS THE IDEA behind Hillary’s efforts, because that IS the logical effect of her efforts. It is far easier to demonize a nuclear program closed to inspection than it is to demonize a nuclear program that is shown to be undeserving of that demonization due to regular UN inspections. Who says we didn’t learn anything fromn the Bush Administration and its criminal lead up to war. Obviously Clinton learned something, and she is sticking to the script faithfully.

      Ditto. She’s a political appointee. He hired her and he’s the only one who could fire her if he wanted to. You can’t vote her out of her position and attempting to single-handedly usurp a blog that views her work more favorably is not going to change that fact. If you’re seriously trying to get her out of office, you’re quite simply in the wrong place.

      Incidentally, a blog is an individual’s own editorial page. No one forces you to read things that only irritate you and no one is forced to write things to please you. The content here seems only to anger you and your attempts at converting the readers here seem to have not succeeded. I’m sure there is another blog with posts from those who see things your way. Why not save the time and energy a good-quality rant requires and go elsewhere.
