Secretary Clinton: Why I Work with President Obama

July 6, 2010

Here’s a clip from a speech she gave in Georgia the other day and she explains why she works for the man with whom she spent over a year fighting for the Democratic nomination. I had seen this but as I watched it again I realized there are few politicians who show the type of resolve, leadership, love of country and ability to put aside past divisiveness for a common goal, that she does. If only more Democrats and Republicans (and members of the electorate) would do the same:

Class act.

Think back to all the media and pundit speculation when she became the SOS that she and Obama would be unwilling to work together, that they would be unwilling and unable to put the past behind them and yet they did. Even to this day there are some who continue to try to find evidence that Clinton and Obama don’t get along or that she has somehow been sidelines. But they haven’t found anything and I think that’s because both Secretary Clinton and President Obama seem to have a genuinely good working relationship based on mutual respect.

The fact that that is so hard for some to believe is more a reflection on them, than on the POTUS or SOS.

Great clip. You are right, a class act.

Compare that to Sarah Palin who just drips with sarcasm and bitterness towards anyone who she disagrees with. I know who I’d rather have my daughter look up to as a role model.

Hillary Rodham Clinton is a wonderful role model to not only our country but the world. God Bless Madame Secretary.

First speech for the Obama-Clinton re-election campaign?

That would be *wonderful* if it was. I’m holding out hope.

Three cheers for maturity in politics! Perhaps some other high profile politicians should take a lesson.

Hillary has always been , and will always be a class act. That is why so many people love her, and support her.

Yes, should have been clinton-Obama. I fear he may have erased her chances like George Bush did those of Jeb Bush.

But, like Stacy, I do hold hope.
