    Happy New Year Stacy!

Thanks for this site by the way, I always come here several times a day even if I don’t always comment.

Thank you for not becoming just a silly fan-girl site that talks about ONLY her pantsuits and flirty interactions with male diplomats- something which other Hillary sites seem obsessed with at the expense of substance. In other words, thanks for the great commentary and the great links to diverse foreign policy stories and opinions. I like how you manage to mix hard-core foreign policy with lighter topics as well (and of course photos!). In other words thank you for actually being an information resource for what the Secretary is doing and what is going on with US foreign policy about which you really seem knowledgeable.

    Have a good day!

Well said Tandy- I second that. I can get my daily political fix, my foreign policy fix and my Hillary fix all in one place!

Agree with both of you. I see this blog linked-to and mentioned on sites like Informed Comment, Tikkun Olam, Washington Note, Laura Rozen, MJ Rosenberg and even the WSJ. They wouldn’t link here if they didn’t take the site seriously. It clearly attracts a lot of hard core Hillary fans but I think it also attracts a lot of people who just generally interested in foreign policy and stacy doesn’t censor people for opposing views unlike some blogs.

I have to admit though that as much as I love the commentary and the links I also enjoy the photo bombs!

Flattery will get you guys everywhere😉.

But seriously, the internet is a big place and there is room for different kinds of Hillary or FoPo blogs and bloggers, they/we all provide different sides of the same coin- there is no right or wrong way to do this.

Seamus- yeah, I love how the Repubs criticize govt-sponsored health care only to gobble it up while we the taxpayer pay for it- for THEM.

I really don’t “get” the whole resistance to any form of health reform. It’s all well and good until you get sick or need something major done, only then to find you have to fight with your health insurance company to get stuff paid for. I can’t believe people aren’t DEMANDING a better system instead of jealously protecting a broken one.

I wasn’t trying to diss other Hillary blogs, not that there are as many anymore. I just like how you mix light topics with heavy ones and I always find the links you and other commenters provide to be really helpful. I also like the links you have in the sidebar to the right. This blog reminds more of a blog that would be on foreignpolicy.com than just a fan blog and I mean that as a compliment. Actually I wish you had taken over Madame Secretary over at FP rather than them getting rid of it altogether. I also follow your Secretary Clinton Blog tweets on twitter and updates on FB.

OT: More proof the Gaza blockade was not just about weapons smuggling by Hamas but rather collective punishment of all the people of Gaza, which is a war crime under international law. If Israel can keep the Palestinians in a state of total economic crisis then they are more hopeless, dependent on foreign aid and perhaps more willing to look unfavorably on Hamas. Unfortunately, it looks like the US did nothing to prevent this war crime and may even have colluded with it.

The BBC broke a story quite a while ago (not covered by the US media of course) about how the Israeli govt actually had doctors calculate how many calories per day Gaza residents would need so that they (Israel) could determine how much food to let through the blockade to bring the Palestinians close to starvation but not tip them over the edge.
