    I love these, lol.

On a more serious note, I’m sick and tired of the critical reaction to Hillary’s comment about the photo. Chris Matthews, among others, is an idiot. If people were being killed when that photo was taken, why not criticize the others in the room, who aren’t reacting at all? Isn’t that worse?

BTW, Hillary actually does have bad allergies, so she’s probably telling the truth anyway.

I think it’s important to remember that Chris Mathews always was, and always will be, an idiot🙂. I know lately he’s been sweet on Bill and he’s been much better about Hillary but I really think at the end of the day, he just doesn’t get it.

I do think the media have been over-analyzing that one photo. It’s become like a Rorschach test that says more about us than it does than the people actually in the photo.

There’s another level to this — the inherent sexism.

It reminds me of the media frenzy over Hillary’s supposedly “losing it” pre-New Hampshire primary and “choking up with emotion” (viz. her eyes briefly misted over). Was she just faking it, manufacturing a few alligator tears for her own sociopathic ends? Was she resorting to an old tried-and-true female [anti-feminist] crying gimmick to melt hearts and garner pity votes? Was she “cracking with exhaustion from decades of yearning to be the principal rather than the plus-one” (Maureen Dowd)? And if she “lost it” on the campaign trail, would she burst into tears negotiating with the new Russian premier? Heck, even Edawards said that Hillary’s show of emotion demonstrated that she wasn’t fit to be president, evidently too soft to handle adversity.

Too tough, cynical, manipulative. Not tough enough. All we knew for sure was that her misting over was BIG news that captured the headlines for days.

Why isn’t Chris Matthews curious about what MEN in that war room photograph were thinking or feeling? Obama’s expression in the same photo seems to speak volumes but no-one presumed to ask him what he was feeling in that moment. Why not?

Why do journalists chose to read “shock” or “fear” in Hillary’s expression?
Why are they so intent on getting her to ‘fess up that she was overcome with emotion? What would that say or mean about Hillary in their eyes? Was this a veiled reference to her readiness to be Commander-in-Chief?

Why is her own explanation about suppressing an allergic cough seen as laughable? Is the implication that she lies, she’s duplicitous, she’s incapable of being a real, authentic, genuine human being ?

        Puh-LEEEEEZE.

    Great photos!

I would go crazy having a posse of security guards following me everywhere I went. No privacy.
