I like these behind the scenes photos.

Despite all the gossip to the contrary she seems to have a respectful, pleasant relationship with Obama. The notion that they have to be best buddies is silly, what matters is that he respects her and I think he does. I have read in several places that she urged Obama to stress the 1967 borders in his ME speech and everything we have heard over the last three years indicates he takes her advice very, very seriously and almost always follows it.

I totally agree. I doubt they’re hanging out together on the weekends or anything, but they seem to work well together. It’s a healthy working relationship by all accounts.

It looks like they are in a cafeteria. Where was this pic taken?

I found it on yesterday. I don’t know what cafeteria that is. I was looking for new photos and didn’t really find any- hence no photo bomb yesterday- but they had a video of what was going on in the west wing last week and that photo was there so I took it!

Thanks for the explanation. I enjoy seeing pics that I have never seen before.

I loved this – Netanyahu’s press release regarding tomorrow’s address bragged that he is “among the few world leaders, who include Winston Churchill, Nelson Mandela and Yitzhak Rabin, invited to address Congress for a second time.”

Also loved this: “Republican Senator Orrin Hatch’s office says he will introduce a resolution that it is not U.S. policy to have Israel’s borders return to the boundaries of 1967.”

Commenting on Cantor’s assertion that the American people agree with his condemnation of Obama’s speech last Thursday, Daniel Levy remarked, “I don’t think that the extreme positions taken by Congress on this issue — which are really extreme, often more extreme than Israel’s parliament itself — I don’t think they are reflective of American broader public opinion.”

I agree that there will be a patriotic backlash against Netanyahu, AIPAC, and Israel firsters in Congress and can’t wait until this blows up in
    the Republicans’ faces.
