Thanks for the photos Stacy. It’s nice to see everyone together, putting politics aside. Betty Ford was a great woman, she helped a lot of people.

    Very nice photos.

She’s got a busy day today- looks like it’s all about Russia.

BTW stacy- did you read yesterday’s State Dept. daily press briefing? I’m sure you did but they cave Ms. Nuland quite a hard time about the Quartet not doing anything but having dinner. LOL. I thought of you.

Also, it looks like Secretary Clinton won’t be meeting with the Dalai Lama which is pretty disappointing. I wish Clinton and Obama would stop pandering to China like this b/c it makes us look unprincipled and weak. The Dalai Lama is respected around the world, who cares if China gets pissed off if she meets with him? They are always pissed off about something. One thing that both conservatives and liberals agree on is speaking out against Chinese human rights abuses and in particular religious freedom and Tibet. Its like the US has totally sold out the Tibet issue. Not good. When was the last time anyone saw ANYTHING in the news about the ethnic cleansing of Tibetan culture by the Han Chinese?

Is Nobel Peace Prize winner Liu Xiobo still in jail? What about his wife? How come we hear about Iran imprisoning activists all the time but not China?

Ok, sorry, off topic but I know Stacy’s follows Chinese human rights closely.

Thanks for the nice pics. I’m sorry that Bill had plane trouble and wasn’t able to go, but where’s Laura? Why didn’t she go with George? How about Barbara? Nancy is quite frail and she made it.

At least she gets home for dinner. Why does she look sad in that one picture though?
